Bold Reflection: What if happiness isn't the goal?

The blog where families find flow and learn to learn.

Thoughts & Reflections

Consider jotting down a few notes, perhaps in a journal or notebook.

Whenever I think about talking to my kids about something I'd like them to think about, I look inside first. Let's dig in.

Where are you making choices from comfort in your own life?

Where do you stretch beyond to dance on the edges of discomfort?

What's holding you back from living on that edge more frequently?

What might be possible?

My oldest son recently told me a quote from a Jim Carey interview that went something like this:  I used to feel like I was Jim Carey experiencing the universe. I now feel like I’m the universe experiencing Jim Carey.

Every day I think about that quote. How would I live differently? What fear and worry would vanish and what boldness would take its place. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
