Thoughts & Reflections
Consider jotting down a few notes, perhaps in a journal or notebook.
1. What is/was the daily temperament of your learning space? Are your habits effective?
2. What systems are working and what systems might need a bit of a tune up? Where's the friction?
3. What might you like to transform? What might your child like to transform?
4. What behaviors might be necessary to make that transformation happen?
5. Identify one of those behaviors that you might focus upon.
6. Is there a way to simplify the environment, the communication or existing routines?
7. Is there a desired behavior that could be linked to an existing routine or habit?
8. Is the new behavior or habit obvious for your child? Attractive in some way? Easy to accomplish?
9. Think about making it a goal to improve an existing system or situation by 1% a day and no big deal if your child misses once, just regroup, so your child doesn't miss twice.
10. Listen to your child's emotions and desires and collaborate together towards harmony.
Feel free to review last week's recording on habits.
