Bold Reflection: Connection...is your bank account overdrawn or overflowing?

Thoughts & Reflections

Consider jotting down a few notes, perhaps in a journal or notebook.

Last week, we learned about filling our emotional bank accounts with connection.

Here are some thoughts and questions to consider.

  • Who are your child's mentors/contributors? How might they fill the bank account?
    • What other adults or children might be able to contribute to your child's mental or emotional learning and wellbeing?
  • What kinds of connection games or activities does your child enjoy?
    • How might you make time for these activities and be truly present?
  • What kinds of stories does your child like to hear?
    • Have you shared your own personal family stories with your child, age-appropriately?
  • Think about your idea of a satisfying homeschooling day.
    • What's the atmosphere feel like?
    • What's your child's attitude?
    • What's your attitude?
    • What kinds of things are you doing?
    • Where are the wins?
    • What things might happen upstream to ensure these types of days happen?

Feel free to review last week's recording where we looked at competence.
