Thoughts & Reflections
Consider jotting down a few notes, perhaps in a journal or notebook.
Last week, we learned about filling our emotional bank accounts with connection.
Here are some thoughts and questions to consider.
- Who are your child's mentors/contributors? How might they fill the bank account?
- What other adults or children might be able to contribute to your child's mental or emotional learning and wellbeing?
- What kinds of connection games or activities does your child enjoy?
- How might you make time for these activities and be truly present?
- What kinds of stories does your child like to hear?
- Have you shared your own personal family stories with your child, age-appropriately?
- Think about your idea of a satisfying homeschooling day.
- What's the atmosphere feel like?
- What's your child's attitude?
- What's your attitude?
- What kinds of things are you doing?
- Where are the wins?
- What things might happen upstream to ensure these types of days happen?
Feel free to review last week's recording where we looked at competence.
